WEEK 2 DAY 4

I woke up feeling much better compared to the day before. There wasn’t any lesson today thus I did not have a time I need to wake up by. I felt really energize after the goodnight rest.

When I was relaxing, awhile after that I ate breakfast which Alicia and Baohui brought back for me. It was then that I heard about some stuff that happened when I was sick the day before. After what was said, I felt really bad about it as I seem to have caused the “adding of oil to the fire” theory which is making a fire bigger when that already is fire.

Following breakfast had to change out as we were going to Han Kou for the day. I went down to meet them when I have gotten ready. They then went to book a mini bus as quite a lot of us wanted to go, so we booked 2 mini buses as one could take 12 people. However, due to some misunderstanding and miscommunication, there was some unhappiness that arose. Thus, ended up, only 14 people sat the mini bus instead of 21.

While on the way to there,

The scenery

And PEOPLE

We could see some great scenery along the way, vast seas which are good for playing water sports and buildings which are more modern as maybe it was due to it being in the city area. We had a journey of about 45 minutes to 1 hour.

Upon reaching the place, first stop was Jiang Han Lu, we headed for lunch first.

I had some crab porridge as I was still sick and could only eat foods which are simple. Also due to some caring friends that did not allow me to eat food which are oily as it was for my own good.

Recess Time

We went to the restroom area and it was totally gross. It had the scenario of super dirty restrooms and people cutting queues.

After that we went shopping, I brought a belt, 1 shirt and a dress.

We had some dessert on the way which was egg tarts, “Gui Ling Guo” with red beans and a mango dessert with ice cream that comes along with it. Here comes the food tasting part.

The egg tarts was the best that we had so far in Wuhan, with it being warm, and just soft, the “jelly” like stuff just goes down your throat.

We tasted some of Alicia “Gui Ling Guo” with red beans. It was normal but the red beans had a bitter type of taste.

To top that off, we had the mango which was cut into cubes with ice cream as the base. It was the perfect combination with the sourness of the mango cubes and the sweetness of the ice cream. It just tastes heavenly.

After that, we walked all the way to another district to shop. A route that we thought would take around half an hour turns out to be a total of 2 hours walk.

At first, it was like this

Then it was sayonara to the balloon

We walked along a street which was simply filled with tons and tons of rubbish everywhere, old buildings and an area which are those which warehouse area where they sold groceries and lots of undergarments. I really wonder how they are they able to live under these conditions. When walking through there, I had a feeling that I missed Singapore clean streets. The difference in street conditions is very huge which is Singapore having streets that are very clean and in China where the streets are filled with rubbish everywhere.

At the area

After all that dirty streets, we entered a high class shopping mall which was Wuhan international mall whereby, a coat costs around $7800 and some display items for example a bowl like item costs $5000+. Upon reaching there, we all wanted to go to the restroom as we were thinking that in such a high class place should have a restroom that goes along with it. We found the restroom and to us it turns out to be a paradise due to restroom being like hell. Although, the downside is that there are no toilet seat kind of style. But it was the best restroom that we have been into for days.

The “rich” restroom

Town area

For dinner, we found a thing that was affordable which was McDonalds. We had McDonalds which was corn, fries, fillet-o-fish and a cup of coke.

Dinner Time

We then waited for the mini bus to come fetch us and headed back home with some hiring a taxi as there weren’t enough seats in the mini bus. On the journey back home, the people who sat in the mini bus were hearing Li Zhen super sweet voice of her favorite girl band, SHE songs. It was amazing to me of how she remembers like all of the song lyrics of all the songs the Chinese girl group sings. It was a nice touch to end the day off, with some nice, sweet melody.
