Woke up earlier than what time I wanted to, dressed up and waited for Alicia and Baohui downstairs. We headed to school as usual. We had some Shui Jiao Bao on the way to school as our breakfast. We had lessons with Mr. Wee.
Mr. Wee taught us topic 5 & topic 6 of project management.
Topic 5 which was SIA conditions of contract. It was on the introduction, then the SIA conditions of contract which we focus only on the articles and conditions of building contract (Measurement) where we then started going into the different clauses.
For topic 6 which was SIA conditions of Sub-contract. Basically, the Sub-contract is entered between the Main Contractor and the Nominated Sub-Contractor and the Main contract between the Employer and Main Contractor. Carried on by the interpretation of sub-contract, general obligations and indemnities, architect, variations, third party claims and indemnities, insurance, completion and delay, termination of sub-contract, payment and arbitration. Also there is a part that focuses on the point about the difference of nominated sub-contractor and sub-contractor. That a nominated sub-contractor at least gets protected compared to a sub-contractor.
After lessons, we went back to the street near school to have lunch.
The way of removing smoke
We had burger, dough stick and cup soya bean milk. While Baohui and I were talking and Alicia was in front, so we were trying to catch up with her and talking at the same time. However, when we walked further up, Alicia went “missing” in our sight. Then we found out that actually she went to accompany Eileen to buy some hooks and entered a shop we walked passed.
We brought some apples. After that, we wanted to find the rest thus we walked into some alley area.
The alley area
It was like the first time I walked into an alley area when I am in Wuhan. While we were strolling in to find them, we were given weird stares from the people in the alley. It seems to be an area where it’s like a housing area. There was dogs running around, buildings which looked really old, saw a lady breastfeeding her kid and some people playing pool.
After the weird stares and the fact that we were not able to find them, we quicken our pace of walking and headed back to the street we came from. We then headed back to the hostel.
We skipped KTV as Alicia was sick. So for the day it was time for my nap and due to the nap, I skipped exercising as I was simply too tired and went to sleep upon lying on the bed.
I woke up from nap and after that Xiao Wah, Cheong Rui, Hui Xin and me saw fireworks from the balcony. It was simply wonderful. Then Xiao Wah, Cheong Rui, Hui Xin, Mr. Wee and I went out to eat dinner near the street near school. It was the first time I went there at night, a street filled with vendors along the streets unlike in the day whereby the streets were less crowded with vendors and people but the problem is that the area was way too smoky that the smoke keeps choking me time and time again.
There among the vendors, we saw a man drawing out pictures of names and he was doing it fast and it looked really pretty. A different store compared to the other stores around that really stands out.
